Shalom to you and family. Thank you for persevering with us, coming along side, sowing into ONMI's vision to help South Sudanese reaps the dividends of their free citizenship in free country. But it is not free until they can reap the dividend of that freedom which entails living to the expectation of being stakeholder to the citizenry. The youngest South Sudanese born in independent South Sudan is only 11 years old. Amid the uncertainty as we partake into the plight of the people, there is enormous hope ahead of us. With your support we are addressing the plight of the people both physically and spiritually. "The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none." Deuteronomy 28:12
This chapter has been always my inspiration to carry on with the work of ONMI in South Sudan. With your help, we are seeing some fruits of our collective labor of love, not just in term of seeing the productivity in the fertile land at the Beth Israel Farmland, but also in seeing the enthusiasm and smiles in the faces of those in the field whose lives have been spiritually transformed for Eternity through the Messiah as we can see it Pastor Thomas & ONMI's administrator, Mr. Emmanual.
It was this same verse that motivated the Israelites to settle the Promise land back then and even now. It is the same inspiration that motivated the USA to become an exceptional nation on. This same inspirational word encourages ONMI to make South Sudan God fearing, productive and prosperous nation. Together with your benevolent support and prayers we are indeed beginning to see how all this will play out in the long run. From observation standpoint, through perseverance and consistency your benevolent support has proven to be quite effective, ensuring that ONMI’s work in the country of South Sudan should serve as example. We want to help South Sudan edge out of circles of dire poverty and borrowing habits from IMF, World Bank or the UN to stand on her own feet.
Seeing the smiles in the faces of these returnees, working the land and producing food with their own hands says it all. we can do it. "Then the LORD your God will make you most prosperous in all the work of your hands and in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your land. The LORD will again delight in you and make you prosperous, just as he delighted in your fathers, if you obey the LORD your God and keep his commands and decrees that are written in this Book of the Law and turn to the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Deuteronomy 30:9-10
The blood of Yeshua the Messiah has redeemed us. We are not saved unto dead works but unto good work. “For we are his workmanship, created in Messiah Jesus to good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them. If we do things God's way, He will bless the work of our hands and make us exceedingly fruitful and prosperous. Whether we work in the ministry or in different occupation, providing for our families and supporting the ministry, God wants us to work and work wisely and well. Then He can bless us.
Our staff in the field are slowly but surely beginning to grasp the concept of working in diligence and purposefully. If we do not work—God has nothing to bless! On the contrary, ministry is work and lots of it, but it sure is a joy and a blessing! Advised them to work hard and reap the benefit of hard work. They should not just produce hand to mouth but be able to produce surplus to support their families, community and God’s people in need of our support. For we are his workmanship, created in Messiah Jesus to good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them.
One who is slack in his work is brother to one who destroys. Proverbs 18:9
