Today is Thanksgiving Day. On behalf of my family and ONMI, I believe Thanksgiving Day is reminder to pause and reflect on the thanks we have not given to God on everything and people He has given us in this life which include you and your family for standing with us throughout 2022.
We thank God for the breath of air we breathe, the food we eat, the earth we live in. Not to mention the sun that gives us energy, rain and vegetation, good health, shelter, and clothing. More Importantly Salvation in Yeshua the Messiah who reconciled us to God. “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost” Titus 3: 5 .
I want to start my missive to you with thanking God for you in all my remembrance of you, for your encouragement, prayers, and support in 2022.
I can’t thank God enough for your generosity and prayers for supporting the work of ONMI in South Sudan. You have truly fulfilled American exceptionalism as a city in the Hill that can’t be
hidden. “He who provides both seed for the planter and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed and increase the harvest of your tzedakah. 11 You will be enriched in every way, so that you can be generous in everything. And through us your generosity will cause people to thank God, 12 because rendering this holy service not only provides for the needs of God’s people, but it also overflows in the many thanks people will be giving to God. 13 In offering this service you prove to these people that you glorify God by doing what your acknowledgement of the Good News of the Messiah requires, namely, sharing generously with them and with everyone. 14 And in their prayers for you they will feel a strong affection for you because of how gracious God has been to you. 15 Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift! “ 2 Corinthians 9: 8-15
We thank God for the USA since (1776) and the significance of providence; in opening new continent called North America by Explorer Christopher Columbus in 1492, the Pilgrims and the Puritans in 1619. God uses His people to do His work. But as we know nowadays, the godless humanist pseud historical revisionists in American academia have been teaching our children in this generation that this whole idea of American exceptionalism is all rubbish, and they think they have a better explanation. But whether the Revision of History like it or not opening up a new continent called north America is the single greatest Miracle of God to fulfill one of His promises 2000 years ago to extend the Great Commission all over the earth.
Subsequently and providentially, the vision of the Pilgrims and Puritans to sail to New England in 1619, looking for a New Israel to practice their faith as they fled the persecution and godlessness of the English Monarch at the time was set forward by God. We have seen the fruit. America is not a perfect Union, but it is up to us to make it perfect by loving God and obeying His commands and upholding the standard of Judeo- Christian Civilization of this country.
The American natives were partial part of the whole plan of God for the redemption of their souls as ne human race. They need to hear the Gospel too because they are also part of the planet earth. Until that point, they worshiped the creation instead of the Creator. They are part of this planet, a fallen world in need of redemption. And so were the Africans who came here in chain as slaves or as free man and so were Europeans who came here escaping 1st and 2nd WW and the Asians escaping Communism or Christians from the Middle escaping Islamic persecution.
As God would have it His way in every situation, the Pilgrim and Puritans came here to America to actually fulfill the Great Commission’s commandment spoken of by Yeshua the Messiah in Act 1: 1-8 in Jerusalem that the disciples should wait in Jerusalem until they receive power of the Holy Spirit and then they will be His witnesses from Yerushalayim, Judeo, Samaria and to the outmost part of the World. Matthew 28: 19: Yeshua commanded the apostles to Go and make disciples, of all nations teaching them to obey everything and those who believe should be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.” The Gospel took off from there and to Africa, Asia, Europe and from Europe to North America.
It is under these premises; we are celebrating Thanksgiving in America.
