Supervising Operations and Inspecting Projects in South Sudan: An Update
This Saturday, August 10, I will return to South Sudan for a three-week visit to supervise the operations on-site, work with field staff, and provide you with an update. While on the ground, I will be involved in inspecting several ongoing projects of ONMI in various aspects of sustainable initiatives: notably, the Agricultural development, Gospel Radio broadcasting, the two academic instruction of learning (NPI and BNP), the medical department, and the church growth.
Empowering Communities through Cancer Awareness Initiative
Our most current initiative is community outreach to educate people about cancer awareness and prevention in several municipalities of Opari, Pageri, Moli Tokuro, Kerepi, and Loa and air the report on NTC 97.3 FM over the airwaves of South Sudan and Northern Uganda to the tens of thousands of people tuning in and asking questions. Thanks to Dr. Godwin for coming up with an important initiative such as this one for creating community cancer awareness; the health department recognized it as the first time a group of health experts, headed by Dr. Lisa Tibi, carried out such awareness about cancer disease. I see lots of possibilities in this initiative.
Celebrating the Progress of Cancer Research Awareness Initiative
We also want to thank Our Medical Coordinator, Samuel Koma, for sharing the progress of Cancer Research Awareness launched by Dr. Minda Godwin in our region. I am thrilled to see ONMI's ground leadership staff under Director of Ground Operations Matthew Abucha and our various departmental leadership, including Health, NTC Gospel radio, and the church's Spiritual leadership, participating in this effort. May the Lord make the increases. Psalms 91. I also want to thank our benefactors and prayer partners here in the USA for helping ONMi meet the financial needs of this initiative.
The Bethlehem Nursery and Primary School: A Beacon of Educational Excellence
The Bethlehem Nursery and Primary School is truly a beacon of educational excellence in the community. With a dedicated team of educators and staff, the school has created a nurturing environment where students thrive academically and personally. The commitment to providing quality education is evident in the students' exceptional performance.
Not only are the students excelling academically, but they are also actively engaged in various extracurricular activities, showcasing their talents and skills beyond the classroom. The school's holistic approach to education is reflected in the well-rounded development of the students.
Furthermore, the supportive and encouraging atmosphere at Bethlehem Nursery and Primary School fosters a sense of community and belonging among the students, creating a conducive learning environment where every child feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential.
