In South Sudan, Understanding the Impact of Trade Deficits on Economic Resilience- President Trump Is Right on.

Sustainability in South Sudan is a critical concept that emphasizes the importance of producing more than what is consumed. You are supporting ONMI with initiative which is transforming a people and a community.

This principle is essential for fostering economic resilience and self-sufficiency within the nation. When President Trump addressed the issue of America operating on a global deficit in its trade relationships, particularly with countries like China, it can often be challenging for many Americans on the liberal side to fully comprehend the intricacies of this situation. The complexities of international trade, currency valuation, and economic dependency are not always straightforward, making it difficult for the average person to grasp the implications of such a deficit.

However, here it is the same concept in South Sudan; people can't easily grasp the idea ONMI is trying to instill in their minds regarding a self-perpetuating economy. They also think President Trump is depriving them of a well-established USAID, which the USA had established under President JFK to promote American values and principles around the world. They did not realize that USAID has been hijacked by the UN and its proxy organizations to use American taxpayer money to promote their global agenda and create global refugee crises to perpetuate refugee displacement and relief dependence.

However, when this idea is applied to a more localized context, such as trade with a neighboring country like Uganda, which is geographically closest to South Sudan, the concept becomes clearer. More and more people are realizing that President Trump is empowering them in their country to be productive and self-sufficient. It also gives credence to the vision and the goal of ONMI that your support and prayers to support ONMI's vision is the correct one and it must be promoted until it is successful.

Understanding Local Trade Deficits: A Case Study from Kerepi Village

For example, imagine someone living in Kerepi village, where our mission is based. If this person imports goods from Nimule city, a border town in South Sudan, as well as from Elegu, a border town in Uganda, and the volume of goods imported exceeds the volume of goods exported from their area, they are effectively operating at a trade deficit. This situation can occur not only at the national level but also within local counties and states.

Challenges in South Sudan-Uganda Trade Relations

Furthermore, it is important to note that Uganda has stringent regulations that often prevent South Sudanese products from entering its markets. This one-sided trading dynamic exacerbates the trade deficit, as South Sudan is allowed to import goods from Uganda without

In response to this pressing issue, we actively encourage our communities to increase agricultural production in their rural areas. By doing so, we aim to supply local markets with homegrown produce rather than relying heavily on imported goods. As you contribute support to ONMI's agricultural initiative, to create permanent food security, eventually, you will help promote reciprocal trading between the USA and South Sudan on an international scale reciprocating in exports. As a result, South Sudan finds itself in a precarious economic position, with its currency experiencing significant devaluation against both the Ugandan Shilling and the US Dollar. This economic imbalance highlights the urgent need for South Sudan to enhance its production capabilities and reduce reliance on imports.

Empowering Local Food Production at JJMPI Polytechnic Institute

For example, students at JJMPI Polytechnic Institute have recently completed the task of weeding their garden, which is cultivated with green beans and cassava. This initiative not only empowers them to provide for themselves but also eliminates the need to purchase vegetables from distant markets in Nimule or Elegu. By fostering local food production, we can work towards achieving a more sustainable economic model that benefits the entire community and strengthens South Sudan's economy setting stage for meaningful international and reciprocal trade with other nations.

Innovative Drip Irrigation Boosts Productivity at Beth Israel Farmland

PRODUCTS OF Beth Israel Farmland. It is truly remarkable to witness the significant impact of the innovative drip irrigation initiative that we launched during the challenging dry season in March. This initiative was designed not only to conserve water but also to enhance the efficiency of our farming practices, ensuring that our crops receive the optimal amount of moisture even in the absence of rainfall. The implementation of this technology has allowed us to maintain consistent growth and productivity in our fields.

As we approached the month of April, we were filled with anticipation, knowing that the natural rains were expected to arrive soon. However, thanks to the foresight and hard work put into the drip irrigation system, we were already reaping the rewards of our efforts. The crops that were carefully planted in March under this system were thriving, demonstrating resilience and vitality that is often hard to achieve in arid conditions. This early harvest not only provided us with fresh produce ahead of schedule but also served as a testament to the effectiveness of our agricultural strategies.

The success of this initiative has encouraged us to explore further advancements in sustainable farming practices. We are now considering additional methods to enhance our crop yields. This includes exploring organic farming techniques, diversifying our crop selection, and investing in soil health to ensure that our farmland remains productive for future generations. The positive results from the drip irrigation project have inspired us to push the boundaries of what is possible in our agricultural endeavors, and we are excited to see how these efforts will unfold in the coming months and years.

The farm is proud to introduce its innovative drip irrigation initiative, which has been specifically designed to enhance agricultural productivity in the Kerepi region of Eastern Equatoria. This initiative not only promotes efficient water usage but also ensures that crops receive the optimal amount of moisture, leading to healthier plants and improved yields. The drip irrigation system minimizes water wastage and helps in maintaining soil health, which is crucial for sustainable farming practices in the area. By implementing this technology, Beth Israel Farmland aims to support local farmers in increasing their production capacities while also contributing to food security in the region.

For those interested in supporting ONMI's agricultural initiative for 2025, we truly need you to help with this effort for food security, which is essentially needed to promote a reciprocal and self-perpetuating local economy to defray the cost of living here in South Sudan. As ONMI Agricultural Development and Food Security Coordinator Emmanual is well-equipped to provide detailed information regarding the various products available, the advantages of the irrigation initiative.
