First Phase of BNPS construction finished, Sub-pump installed, & Sukkot celebrated

Dear bothers and sisters in Yeshua, I pray and trust that this news report will find you well in Yeshua. As we are approaching the end of September, I am very delighted to give you ONMI’s mission updates from the field in South Sudan. In this report we are covering the completion of the first Phase of the Bethlehem Nursery and Primary School construction project which began in the middle of July. First and foremost, I want to thank God for your prayers, and financial support to bring this project to where it is. This is truly a miraculous hand of God seeing the unfolding speed at way how he provided the funding for this project and expeditiousness and the diligence of our field staff in executing the work under the leadership of our country director Pastor Timothy Levi.

Steps in the right direction

In March 2021, I was on the ground, with our field staff. We walked through the land dedicated to building the school. We prayed over the property and entrusted the initiative into the hand of God.

Upon my return from the South Sudan, I wrote a report about this project initiative and brought it to your attention to pray about it. Meanwhile, with the limited resources available, as you came alongside in getting the vision plan on motion, we took bold action by faith by making blocks and creating engineering blueprints for the building structure. In June the funding for the first phase of the construction began to roll in. We spent half of July in gathering construction materials to start the work. In The first week of August, we broke ground and begun laying the foundation of the first building. As we continue to make blocks for the construction of the building, we also began, ferrying sand, aggregates, water, stone, construction steel to the work side. From August to date, we have been toiling daily to bring the construction foundation to the first phase of the project initiatives.

Therefore, these pictures depict the progression and the chronology of the construction moving forward. The Bethlehem Primary School construction project has entered unto its completion phase 1. Foundation has been laid, and next will be the construction of the first floor. This will make the 2nd phase! From the bottom of my heart on behalf of my family and ONMI, I want to thank God for your prayers. Almighty God, my rock and refuge, hallowed be thy name. Thankful that I can come to Him at any time, and He is always there listening to our prayers and supplication.

Water situation resolved.

Two weeks ago, the Water pump at the Bethlehem mission center just failed. This deep well supplies water to over 500 people residing in the center. However, praise be to the Lord. He has answered our prayers. The Lord has raised the fund, the pump was purchased. Our hardworking Director, Pastor Timothy Levi, assembled a team of well technicians and they have reinstalled the pump and the water is pumping again. Philippians 4:4 " Be anxious for nothing, but through prayers and supplication with thanksgiving, let your request be known to God." Yes, God has come through with provision.

Celebrating the Sukkot for the first time in years just in the same as - in Nehemiah 8: 1-14 Nehemiah 8:10 said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” “The Levites calmed all the people, saying, “Be still, for this is a holy day. Do not grieve.” 12 Then all the people went away to eat and drink, to send portions of food and to celebrate with great joy, because they now understood the words that had been made known to them.

On the second day of the month, the heads of all the families, along with the priests and the Levites, gathered around Ezra the teacher to give attention to the words of the Law. 14 They found written in the Law, which the Lord had commanded through Moses, that the Israelites were to live in temporary shelters during the festival of the seventh month 15 and that they should proclaim this word and spread it throughout their towns and in Jerusalem: “Go out into the hill country and bring back branches from olive and wild olive trees, and from myrtles, palms and shade trees, to make temporary shelters”—as it is written.

In Rumbek, Lake State, the Nile Beth Messiah is thriving. God has answered our prayers. Pastor John Thon wants me to convey a message of gratitude and appreciation to you for your prayers and support. The violence that has plagued the region for years because of the sin of covetousness of other people’s cattle that led to the countless raiding and killing of so many people and leaving behind trails of widows and the fatherless children had come to an end two months ago. The town of Rumbek and surrounding communities in Lake state are enjoying relative peace and stability because the government of South Sudan appointed a new governor two months ago to restore law and order in a region that was engulfed in gun violence, cattle rushing, fear and kidnapping of the most vulnerable part of society.

Prayers for the followings

My family & ONMI staff and their families need your prayers for protection for marriages, families, health, provision, wisdom and strength. Ephesians 6: 10- 13

The Armor of God

" Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand."
