The Gospel NEWS leapt from Eastern Equatoria to Rumbek, Lake State, South Sudan
Shalom my co-laborers in the Great Commissions, brothers and sisters in Yeshua, wishing you Merry Christmas 2020 and Happy Prosperous New Year 2021. Rumbek, South Sudan. Today, I want to bring you mission report from Nile Beth Messiah in Rumbek, Lake State, South Sudan.

Pastor John Thon Makur, of The Nile Beth Messiah, Rumbek, Lake State has sent us these pictures from his congregation which ONMI helped established in 2017. God has brought one of his children from Lake State as a soldier turned chaplain to Pageri County in Eastern Equatoria State where ONMI is based in South Sudan close to the Ugandan border at the height of national Crisis in 2016. He saw what God is doing in Pageri County through Operation Nehemiah Missions. He went back home, to serve God and his people. He contacted us to help him start a church in Rumbek. At first, we thought he was joking, for a year we prayed and took no action and watched and see if he meant business and if God was in this.
So in 2018, it was confirmed by the Lord that this was for real because he was persistent and consistent with his request. This in part is the fulfillment of the vision of Operation Nehemiah Mission to spread the Good News throughout South Sudan.
In the foot steps of Apostle Paul Now the Congregation is up and running. It has an average of 500 people during Worship Service. But Pastor John Thon Makur estimated that at least 25,000 people attended this Christmas 2020 and many people turned their lives to Christ. The building was completely maxed out so they have to gather under a big tree and that was maxed out too. He is thanking God for ONMI in the USA and South Sudan and all the donors in the USA for helping the work of ONMI in South Sudan.
What they lack is borehole. The only one in the area got broken so they have to fetch water from the river to drink. but the people are resilient.
" The book of Acts tells us that the apostle Paul had three missionary journeys. Each journey started in the city of Jerusalem and ended back in the city of Jerusalem. On the first missionary journey the apostle traveled to Asia Minor or modern day Turkey. The second and third missionary journeys took Paul through Asia Minor to Greece" Our prayer is to reach out to the rest of South Sudan.
The Gospel is the only hope to reconcile humanity to God
My prayer to the people ( true believers) in South Sudan is this, the only solution to addressing National Crisis and tribal tension in the region is the Gospel not gun violent, not bloodshed not hatred, not fear, not tribalism or war mongering.
Call to Persevere Another remarkable things God is showing us using believers in Beth Messiah in Rumbek is this, the people of Rumbek are worshiping God in their own state in a region riffed with war and displacement. There are rampant cattle rushing, flooding and dismal infrastructures specially road conditions are dire. These are just to mention few of big problems they are facing, yet, they are living patriotically by faith in their own country with dignity.
Yeshua says, the harvest is ready, but the Laborers are few.
We are praying for other part of the country to do the same. So God is telling us a lot of things through others living in other part of South Sudan with similar problems yet every body is persevering and holding down the fort and the Gospel is going forward in their own region.

The U.S. Secretary of State became the first US senior official to visit Judea and Samaria. He said that the Jews had a historic and religious right to the land, something which no past US administration has ever recognized.
