In the hospital for more than a week to take care of our daughter Hadassah.

Shalom to you my dear brothers and sisters in the Great Commission. Today is January 9, 2020. My prayer and hope is that you and your family are doing well as the Lord brought all of us safely from 2019 to the beginning of 2020. There is so much to thank God for. I'm very grateful for your support and encouragement both materially and spiritually to my family and the work of ONMI. We couldn't have come this far without your support. We are now in 2020, looking forward to co-laboring with you. We walk by faith not by sight. We don't know what lie ahead of us for the rest of 2020 but we have faith in a Living God in Yeshua who directs and guides our path into the future.

Our Hadassah (fourth from left ) needs your prayers as well as the whole family

Home front.

I'm giving you ONMI's News update from Baystate section of Children Hospital in Springfield, MA. I have been spending the nights here at the bedside of our daughter Hadassah Naomi Levi for the past one week since January 3rd. Hadassah has been admitted here after it was determined by the BMC hospital in Pittsfield, MA that we should bring her here to be admitted for severe ongoing pain in the stomach. The pain is so severe, preventing her from eating solid food. The situation has gone to the point that she could not eat anything. She had lost a lot of weight. So the only option is to hospitalize her. We are not sure when she will be discharged from here, depending on her ability to eat on her own and be able to walk on her feet. All her prognosis from various testing and lab works have turned out negative. This is good news for us as major health issues are ruled out, but then the pain still remains, what could trigger it, remains the question.

Hannah and I have been driving back and forth between our home in Lanesborough, MA to Springfield, MA on daily bases, 61 miles one way. We are coordinating on rotation bases. She spends the day with Hadassah in the hospital and return home to attend to the little ones in the night. I spend the day with the little ones during the day and keeping up with the ministry's work at the same time and return to the hospital to spend the night with Hadassah. The nurses and the doctors are helping her around the clock. I want to thank God for your encouragement and prayers.

As parents and family doing God's work in the Great Commission, we are not exempt from trials. Trials come to all of us but the Lord promise to deliver us from all of them. Trials strengthen our faith and growth.

" But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. " 2 Corinthians 4: 7-10

On the Ministry front

Our team on the ground in South Sudan is holding down the fort. ONMI mission work on the ground is going on. We are moving with evangelistic outreach and gearing toward the goal of this year. Our primary task in the first quarter of 2020 is to complete the construction work of the church in Mugali village. We thank God for the fund which has come in to complete the work. ONMI medical outreach remain our monthly challenge.

Prayers and appreciation.

I want to thank God for your prayers and financial support to cover the entire year 2019 to take care of everything that He wanted us to accomplish last year after we surrendered everything to God. Counting on our blessings and believing in His unfailing promises, we waited patiently like Rev. George Mueller of Bristol, UK who depended solemnly on God for the provision needed to run a 2000 children orphanage.

So here is the outlook of ONMI mission budget for January 2020.

I want to thank God for you and your family on behalf of my family and Operation Nehemiah for standing with us through your prayers and support in 2020. We are looking forward to co-laboring with you in 2020.

We are just a week away coming to the end of 2019. December and Christmas seasons can be financially challenging to you and your families. Contribution to causes you care about could be difficult as well. This is perfectly understood. However as a co-laborer in the Great Commission, we want to ask you as always to join us in your prayers for this need as we are coming to the end of 2019.

Current Budge January 2020 Our fix/variable monthly support for January 2020 .

We have a projected budget of $37,000. But God knows what is actually needed. I only ask you to join us in your prayers. "Take therefore no thought for the tomorrow: for the tomorrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient to the day is the evil thereof."

Nehemiah Polytechnic institute: 2- To donate to our Special long term project

Pleas follow the link to Nehemiah Polytechnic Institute What is the goal of NPI ? One of the key solutions to stop people from leaving South Sudan into exile, stop the war and contribute to peace and economy stability is to build vocational schools that will have a tangible impact on the community. To date, South Sudan imports most of her skilled labor force from Uganda and Kenya. A country can’t survive like this. The root causes of instability in South Sudan are spiritual, physical, political and as well as economical. There is a massive exodus of people leaving the country either because of war or the search for education and employment. Unfortunately, 99 % of them never come back. Therefore, with your support and encouragement, our next initiative is the construction of the Nehemiah Polytechnic Institute and Studies of Biblical Worldview at the Yerushalayim Summit on Gordon MT in Nimule.

Church planting

We received the first funding of $13,000 toward the construction of the church, the parsonage and well in Mugali village. We thank God for this funding. Fund will go toward bricks production. Of the $34,000 needed, we are now down to $21,000. The project has kicked off in November 2019.
