ONMI distinctive: Reciprocal relationship with our South Sudanese field staff to get the job done!

October 31, 2019

Dear Co-laborers in the Great Commissions,

Shalom to you and family. As always, thank you for standing with us in the month of October 2019.  It is amazing to see what the Lord is doing in our lives  and in ministry with your encouragement and support .

 Home front:

Thank you for praying for us.   by the grace of God, despite ourselves, the Lord is watching over us.  We are taking everything day by day as each day brings it challenges and blessings.  In the midst of it all, God is drawing us  closer and closer  to Himself. Trials and tribulations are words that we do not like to hear. We all face different trials and tribulations.  Some are physical  illness. They come to us in every walk of life. Some of  trials we face are  financial trials.  Many will face physical trials or troubles.  But the Lord will deliver us from all of them.

Word of Exhortation.

Acts 14:22 strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying that through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God.

John 16:33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.

”Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?

Matthew 10: 22:Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rise against their parents and have them put to death. 22 You will be hated by everyone on account of My name, but the one who perseveres to the end will be saved.

ONMI Ministry front:

ONMI's distinctive is that we  have been creating reciprocal relationship between South Sudanese  m ministry staff and the main office in the USA. The motive and prevailing desire of Operation Nehemiah Missions is to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ, there by bringing people to repentance and eternal Salvation for their soul upon this premises rest the welfare of any community and the Bible is the final authority in all matters of life. Our goal for this phase of prevailing desire and development are: To develop and support potential leadership with the indigenous Christian community in the South Sudan. To raise up Christian families and disciple them to take their rightful places in the community.

Marriage:  Shall a man leaves his father and mother and be joined together with his wife and the two shall become one flesh.

My nephew, Pastor Jeremiah Abuni Levi got married to  Winni Odoch Levi beautiful young lady last Saturday..  They  persevered and did their wedding the Biblical way, honoring Christ. Genesis 2:24-26 . What a great example for young people?

  Food Security..

From the mission field, We  have been waiting from our field staff  to send  us  a comprehensive report  agricultural report from Beth Israel farmland to match the investment put forth since May this year.  We establish food security through agricultural development throughout the region along with access to clean Water. ONMI helps encourage economic independence for South Sudanese families by offering employment and business opportunities. We want to impact the next generation of South Sudan with Christ centered focus by empowering indigenous Christian pastors to Teach and disciple the families in their congregations.

From the Pictures you can identify. the following crop

  1. Peanut harvest stored in sacks. This is the first time we are seeing a lot of peanuts harvest in a large quantity.

  2. Vast Sesames field ( seen in light green stems) still to be harvested

  3. Huge field of grain like you have seen in the previous years

  4. Vast field of cassava and the field staff working in it.

We are  going to plant the  Eucalyptus  trees this week before the rain season is over.  There is massive harvest on the  ways in November through December.  Will be on the ground to witness that myself.

I will be leaving for Israel on Oct 31st.

I will be leaving for Israel tomorrow. My Itinerary is packed with a lot of activities. Everything looks great. I’m arriving three days ahead of the conference.   The organizers finally sent me a comprehensive time table of what we will be doing.  I have been given 15 minutes to speak  on Pro Israeli influence around the  World.

Heading back to South Sudan  in November on November 13th

I will be leaving for South Sudan on November 13th - January  2020.  Please  pray for my family  that they will  do well  in my absence.  I will manage the ministry from there and communicate with them regularly . I’m going to solve issues related to mission properties,   monitoring of  construction of a church building in Mugali village,  conduct  Medical and evangelistic outreaches with field staff to advance the Great Commission.I want to spend this time in South Sudan with a functioning role as the Founder and Overseer of the ministry where 99 % of ONMI activities are taking place inclusive of our field staff. ONMI Board of Elders from the US will join me in the field before I return to  USA in January 2020 to witness the ongoing work on the ground.

One day and one month at a time.  The just shall live by faith.  October is covered.  Now, our next target is November 2019.

I want to thank God for your prayers and financial  support  to cover  the entire month of October  to take care of our general  Fund  after we surrendered everything to God.  Things went  beyond  the middle of October when the Lord provided all  the fund that was needed.  Things were looking tough for us but God wanted to test our faith whether we can trust  Him. Counting on our blessings and believing in  His unfailing promises, we waited patiently like Rev.  George  Mueller of  Bristol, UK who depended solemnly on God for  the provision needed  to run  a 2000 children orphanage.

1- Our  fix/variable  monthly  Budget  for November 2019.

We have a projected budget of $24,900. But God knows what is actually needed. So I’m not concern. I only ask you to join us in your prayers.

"Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient to the day is the evil thereof."

2- To donate to our Special long term project :  Nehemiah Polytechnic institute:

Pleas follow the link  to  : Nehemiah Polytechnic  Institute

What is the goal  of NPI ? One of the key solutions to stop people from leaving South Sudan into exile, stop the war and contribute to peace and economy stability is to build vocational schools that will have a tangible impact on the community. To date, South Sudan imports most of her skilled labor force from Uganda and Kenya. A country can’t survive like this. The root causes of instability in South Sudan are spiritual,  physical, political and as well as economical.  There is a massive exodus of people leaving the country either because of war or the search for education and employment. Unfortunately,  99 % of them never come back. Therefore, with your support and encouragement, our next initiative is the  construction of the Nehemiah Polytechnic Institute and Studies of  Biblical Worldview at the Yerushalayim Summit on Gordon MT  in Nimule.

3- Another special long term Project  is  the Mugali Church, Parsonage and well project.

We received  the first funding of $3,000 toward the construction of the church, the parsonage and well in Mugali village.  We thank God for this funding.  Fund  will go toward bricks production.  Of the $34,000 needed, we are now down to $31,000. The project is kicking of beginning this November.

Church  building - $ 15,000

Parsonage - $10, 000

Well - $9,000
