Measuring the impact of your prayers and support in the 1st quarter 2019

Shalom Brother and Sister,

Thank you very much for everything. How can we thank God enough for you for all the benevolent support you have been rendering to advance the Great Commission in South Sudan through ONMI? We prayed for you and your family, hoping that you had a blessed Passover and Resurrection Sunday last week.

The Biblical instruction about Passover

"Celebrate the Feast of Unleavened Bread, because it was on this very day that I brought your divisions out of Egypt. Celebrate this day as a lasting ordinance for the generations to come." (Exodus 12:17)

“Tell all the congregation of Israel that on the tenth day of this month, each man is to take a lamb for his family…your lamb is to be without blemish. You must watch over it until the fourteenth day of the same month. Then… slaughter it at twilight.”

―Exodus 12:3-6

God was preparing to rescue the people of Israel from centuries of slavery in Egypt. One final plague was to come over the land, and God prescribed the way that the Jewish people could be saved from the death about to come. A lamb must be sacrificed. The lamb was to be perfect, without spot or blemish. Innocent. Taking special care and keeping close watch over their selected lamb for four days must have made it difficult for the family to see it die for their sake. There was no other reason for it to die but to spare the Hebrews from the judgment of death in the land of Egypt. There was no other way.

" Behold, here comes the Lamb who takes away the sins of the world" John 1:29

That Passover night foreshadowed a much bigger rescue to come and a more profound sacrifice on behalf of the object of God’s love: the children of Israel and all of mankind. Yeshua came to earth for one reason. He came to sacrifice His life to save ours. He was perfect, without sin, and through His sacrifice, He offers deliverance from the power of sin in our lives. There is no other way. Yeshua is our Passover Lamb.

"When the hour came, Yeshua and his apostles reclined at the table. And he said to them, "I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. For I tell you, I will not eat it again until it finds fulfillment in the kingdom of God." After taking the cup, he gave thanks and said, "Take this and divide it among you. For I tell you I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes." (Luke 22:14-18)

“ That is why I am so eager to preach the gospel also to you who are in Rome. I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, then to the Greek. For the gospel reveals the righteousness of God that comes by faith from start to finish, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”… Romans 1: 15-16

The suffering Church around the world.

Sri -Lanka (formerly Ceylon) . Islamic terrorism, raised its ugly head again, killing hundreds of Christians on Resurrection Sunday.

Believers in Jesus Christ around the world continue to suffer persecution. It will come to all of us just as it came to our brothers and sisters in the country of Sri- Lanka, who paid the ultimate price of following Jesus Christ with their lives over the Resurrection Sunday. They died at the hands of diabolical Islamic terrorists entrenched on the island.

Jesus says “I have told you these things so that you won’t be caught by surprise. ....... in fact, the time will come when anyone who kills you will think he is serving God! 3 They will do these things because they have understood neither the Father nor me. 4 But I have told you this, so that when the time comes for it to happen, you will remember that I told you. I didn’t tell you this at first, because I was with you. 5 But now I am going to the One who sent me. John 16: 1-5

" Stay sober, stay alert! Your enemy, the Adversary, stalks about like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Stand against him, firm in your trust, knowing that your brothers throughout the world are going through the same kinds of suffering. 10 You will have to suffer only a little while; after that, God, who is full of grace, the one who called you to his eternal glory in union with the Messiah, will himself restore, establish and strengthen you and make you firm." 1 Peter 5: 8-10

Backhoe front loader arrives OMNI compound in South Sudan- Prayers answered

In the providence of God, The backhoe front loader arrived at the OMNI compound in South Sudan in spite of difficult conditions set by custom authorities both in Uganda and South Sudan.

We are thanking God for answered prayer and provision to reach many of the ministry's goals set for the first quarter of 2019, including preparation of the farmland for cultivation and repair of tools and ministry vehicles.

Measuring progress and impact of your prayers and support is real!

Measuring our progress based on what we envisioned to do in the first quarter of 2019, from last year’s projection, I can say, yes, by the power of God, we achieved most of the goals set forth.

1- We prayed and wanted to clear the backlog of financial burden on the ministry from last year

2018 by January- February 2019 so that we start 2019 with little to no debt to the mission. God came through with that effort.

2- We prayed and wanted to retool and repair the existing farm equipment and prepare the land

ready for cultivation in first quarter of 2019. That goal is now achieved.

3- We prayed and wanted to get the backhoe front loader between March and April. Again, God

answered our prayers. We got the backhoe front loader between the month of March and April

2019.

4- Transportation need for evangelism and medical outreach is also met.

5- We prayed for our mission trip asap with my family and other missionaries in May 2019 for 2 months. This is still in the making. We need to secure our airline tickets. We are confident with your prayers, this goal will be achieved too.
