ONMI News Brief- Water gushing out in the Mission compound on Gordon Mt.!

Dear co- laborers in the Great Commission,

Shalom! Greetings in the Name of Yeshua, the Messiah! Because of your prayers and support we finally have water on Gordon Mt.!

After almost two years of waiting, the Lord has provided a way for us to get water on Gordon... It all started out as a dream and then became a necessity as our staff moved out Borongole, ONMI main mission headquarters to Gordon Mountain, where our third mission headquarters is located in Nimule after the war broke out last July.

We knew that we would probably not find any water on the mountain itself, which is 2700ft. above sea level and accessible from the northern end. So we began the searching for water all the way, halfway to bottom of the mountain. The idea was, if we could find water at the bottom of the mountain, then we could pump it up to where our staff are living using solar electricity, etc.

In November of last 2016 my daughter, Abijah, and I went to South Sudan with many ideas in mind. The war had shaken our ministry and staff to the very core, and we needed the Lord to reveal to us what was next.

When we arrived in South Sudan, we realized among other things, that one of the main problems facing our staff was the lack of water... As you all well know, our staff was trucking their water directly from the Nile! We knew that we had to do something about it, and we prayed that the Lord would somehow provide a way for water to be drilled.

The Lord opened the door for us to hire a water drilling company from Kampala, Uganda, and they sent a surveyor who found plenty of water at the bottom of Gordon Mt. It was necessary that in order for us to get the water to the top of the mountain (where our staff quarters is located), the best course of action was to pump the water to the top of Gordon Mt. using solar electricity and pipes.

When we came went to South Sudan as a family five months ago, we were hoping that the water would be drilled the first week we were there...However, two months passed before the drilling company finally arrived!

Water was found at 207 ft below. We will need 1500 ft. of piping and other equipment was needed in order to get the water up Gordon MT. It took a while but the Lord provided all that we needed in His perfect timing!

We are so thankful to the Lord and to our head staff on the ground; Timothy, Isaac, and Robert, for seeing this project through. Now praise the Lord, water is gushing out of the rock, a mighty miracle of God's work among us. God is so good! Our staff no longer has to go to Nile River to fetch dirty water to drink. Water is now available on the mountain compound.

The solution to resolving the crisis in South Sudan needs all of us... You all have helped us with this. Providing water is one of the many solutions to help South Sudan's recovery from the Crisis we are in. Water is life! Jesus said, "And whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because of my name, since you belong to the Messiah--I assure you: He will never lose his reward." Mark 9:41.

We are seeing the mighty hand of God as He provided water to the children Israel from the rock in the Sinai desert. Now He has given the same water to His children, in South Sudan, believers in Yeshua during this difficult time. To God be the Glory!

So to solve all the remaining problem, we need a bigger holding tank 3 times the 750 gallon tank.

We need 2500 gallon holding tank. This will supply the 750 gallon tank up the compound three times before it is filled again. The rate of consumption of water by the staff in the compound at this moment and into the future will be fulfilled by this amount of water in the tank. It will take them at least a month before the holding tank runs out.

The water is channeled from the well through 400m to the holding tanks and into the compound tank through a 2-3 diameter “PVC pipes designed to handle high pressure. This pipe can’t be buried under ground because of the rocky formation. We can’t dig long stretch of trenches for 1500ft through the rocky mountain landscape. So we are working on encasing the pipes with cement, 1500ft all the way up to the compound to avoid fire damage or expose to outside element.

Prayer needs: November 2017 Mission trip is on.

1- Upcoming trip- airline tickets for our family - $10,000.

2- Completion of the well project: We still need 2500 gallons holding tank to be installed 400 m up to where the booster pump , security house, other needs - $7,200 including transportation from Uganda through custom and installation.

3- Evangelistic tools need 1000 Radio receivers embedded with entire content of the Bible and 64 South Sudanese languages. - $15,000

4- $10,000 for construction a mission house on Operation Nehemiah Missions compound on Mountain Gordon

5- $ 7, 000 for Bibles printing in South Sudanese languages.

In His grace,

William Levi, Founder and Overseer
