Statement of Faith

Statement of Faith

The Vision of Operation Nehemiah Missions is to promote the Gospel of Yeshua Hamasciach that brings people to repentance and Eternal Salvation. Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” (Matt. 4:4)The Word Brings Salvation…for, Whoever will call on the name of the Lord shall be saved", 'How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, " How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the good news of good things." So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God" Romans 10: 14-17. We seek to minister to the body, soul, and spirit.

The Bible

We believe that the Bible, consisting of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is the only infallible and authoritative Word of God. We recognize its divine inspiration and accept its teachings as our final authority in all matters of faith and practice.

God - The Father

That the unity of God is taught in the Shema. God is one – echad: a united one, a composite unity, eternally existent in plural oneness. He is a personal God who created us, and He exists forever in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deut 6:4) (Gen. 1:1) (Gen 1:26) (Gen 2:24) (Rom. 8:14-17) (Matt. 28:18-20)God the Father:. God the Father is the King of the Universe, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, without beginning and without end. He is Spirit. He sent His Son, Yeshua the Messiah, and draws people to Him(John 6:27b) (1 Cor 1:3) (Gal. 1:1) (Rev 3:5, 21) (Jer. 3:4, 19) (Jer. 31:9) (Mal. 1:6) (Matt. 6:9, 32) (Luke 10:21-22) (John 1:14) (John 4:23) (John 5:17-26) (John 6:28-46) (Rom. 8:14-15)

Yeshua Hamasciach - Son

We believe God the Son is Yeshua – Jesus, the Messiah. He possesses both divine and human natures. He was born of a virgin. The Son is God and is worshiped as God. He has always existed. He is the Passover Lamb who takes away the sin of the world. We believe in His sinless life and His perfect obedience to the Torah, His atoning death, burial, and bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, and His personal return in power and glory to this earth in order to consummate the prophesied purposes concerning His kingdom.(Ps. 2) (Prov. 30:4-6) (Luke 12:35-37) (John 1:29-34, 49) (John 3:14-18) (Isa. 7:14) (Luke 1:30-35) (Ps. 110:1) (Heb. 1:13) (Isa. 9:6-7) (Matt 28:18-20) (Phil. 2:5-11) (Col. 1:15-19) (Rev. 3:21) (Rev. 4:8) (Rev. 5:5-14) (Is. 9:6-7) (Is. 11:1) (Dan. 9:20-26) (Isa. 53) (John 1:17, 40-41, 45, 49) (Mark 8:29) (Num. 24:17) (Rev 22:16) (1 Cor. 5:7) (Rev. 5) (John 1:29)

The Holy Spirit - The Comforter

We believe that Yeshua promised the Holy Spirit, called “The Comforter” and the Spirit of Truth, to His disciples. He empowers us and seals us, leads us and teaches us. The Spirit comes to all who are saved. His indwelling enables us to live a godly life. God the Holy Spirit is a person, possessing all the attributes of Deity. He was active in the creation of the universe and continues to be active through His providence. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment; He regenerates, sanctifies, immerses, indwells, seals, empowers, illumines, guides, teaches and gives gifts to all believers.(Gen. 1:2b) (2 Sam. 23:1-3) (John 14:17, 26) (Acts 1:8) (Eph. 1:13, 4:30) (Rom. 8:9, 14-17) (Acts 2:38)

The Man

We believe that man was created in the image of God but through disobedience fell and became separated from God. All men are born with a sinful nature. Man’s only hope for redemption is by having faith in Messiah Yeshua. This results in salvation and regeneration by the Ruach HaKodesh which is the new birth. We believe that Yeshua died for our sins; that all who believe in Him are made right with God, not by any of their own works of righteousness, but by Messiah’s perfect righteousness and atoning blood, and that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. Salvation has always been by Grace Through faith, and that works of law, or righteous acts, have never saved anyone. This is the New Birth. (Gen 1:26-27) (Gen 2:17) (Gen 3:22-24) (Ps. 14:1-3) (Ps. 49:7) (Isa. 64:6) (Rom. 3:9-12, 23) (Rom. 5:12) (Lev. 17:11) (Isa. 53) (Dan. 9:24-26) (1 Cor. 15:22) (Heb. 9:11-14, 28) (John 1:12) (John 3:36) (Tit. 3:5) (John 3:3-8) (Eph. 2:8-9)

Resurrection and Judgement

We believe in the resurrection on both the redeemed and the lost; the former to everlasting life and the latter to eternal separation from God, a state of everlasting punishment. His promised coming in the air to receive Messianic Believers to Himself. In the bodily resurrection of both the just and the unjust: the just to everlasting life and the unjust to eternal death and separation from God.(Job 14:14) (Job 19:25-27) (Dan. 12:2-3) (John 3:36) (John 11:25-26) (Rev. 20-5-6, 10-15) (Rev. 21:7-8)

The Second Coming

We believe that the Son of God will return in glory to recover the remnant of His people Israel from the four corners of the earth and restore the Davidic Kingdom, as promised in scripture.(1 Thes. 4:13-18) (John 14:1-6) (1 Cor. 15:51-57) (Isa. 59:20-21) (Zech. 14:4) (Zech. 12:8-13:1) (Rom. 11:25-27) (Heb. 9:28) (Jer. 31:31-40) (Isa. 11) (Isa. 9:6-7) (Luke 1:30-33) (Jer. 23:3-8)

Nation of Israel

We believe that God has a plan for the nation of Israel and for the world. The Scriptures teach of the physical and spiritual restoration of Israel. The greatest miracle of our day has been the reestablishment or rebirth of the State of Israel, according to prophecy. That the election of Israel is irrevocable. We believe in the physical and spiritual restoration of Israel. A great miracle in our day has been the re-establishment of the state of Israel according to prophecy.(Ezek. 34:11-31, 36-39) (Hos. 3) (Amos 9:11-15) (Zech. 12-14) (Isa. 11, 43, 54, 60-62, 66) (Rom. 11:1-34)

Messianic Judaism

That Jewish people (physical descendants of Abraham through Isaac and Jacob, whether through patrilineal or matrilineal descent) who place their faith in Messiah Yeshua, continue to be Jewish according to the Scriptures. Gentiles who place their faith in Yeshua, are grafted into the Jewish Olive Tree of faith becoming spiritual sons and daughters of Abraham.

That all of God’s word to Israel is still valid. We believe that “Biblical Judaism” is the faith of first century believers, which we seek to practice. We believe that the Holy Days given by God to Israel with their fulfillment in the Messiah Yeshua are still valid and are worth observing.

We acknowledge that the New Covenant Messianic Community (the Church) is composed of both Jews and Gentiles who have received Yeshua the Messiah as the promised Redeemer. The “middle wall of partition” has been broken down and now we worship the God of Israel together.

(Rom. 2:28-29) (Rom. 11:17-25) (Gal. 3:28-29) (Gen 15:6) (Rom. 2-6) (Eph. 2:8-9) (Heb. 11:6,39) (1 Cor. 12:13) (Eph. 2:13-14)

We are not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God, Salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jews first and then to the gentiles. ~ Romans 1:16

His promised coming in the air to receive Messianic Believers to Himself.

Apostacy & Consequences of Replacement Theology

We believe that part of what we are witnessing today in the apostate church in the West (Homosexuality, Women leadership in the church and prosperity Gospel & readily acceptance of Islamic & Arab take over of the Holyland) by  the church are the consequences of widespread acceptance of the false doctrine known as Replacement Theology that has come of age. It is bearing fruit, and the taste of that fruit is spiritual death. Those who embrace Replacement theology (also known as supersessionism) essentially believe that the church has replaced Israel in God’s plan. The Jews are no longer God’s chosen people, and God does not have specific future plans for the nation of Israel. Replacement theology teaches that the church is the replacement for Israel and that the many promises made to Israel in the Bible are all fulfilled in the Christian church, not in Israel. So, the prophecies in Scripture concerning the blessing and restoration of Israel to the Promised Land are “spiritualized” or “allegorized” into promises of God’s blessing for the church.

Major problems exist with this view, such as the continuing existence of the Jewish people throughout the centuries and especially with the revival of the modern state of Israel. If Israel has been condemned by God, and there is no future for the Jewish nation, how do we explain the supernatural survival of the Jewish people over the past 2000 years despite the many attempts to destroy them? How do we explain why and how Israel reappeared as a nation in the 20th century after not existing for 1900 years? Most importantly,  if God has finally cast off Israel, what do we base of our own assurance of salvation on? Romans 11:17-24.
