Dear Friends,

Operation Nehemiah is preparing to load another 40ft relief container bound for
South Sudan. I would like to express my deep appreciation to Universal Aide Society of Canada for donating the funds to purchase the container, to Hope Church in Lenox, MA for providing the space to keep it over the next few weeks and donors who helped us transport the container from NJ to MA.

Donations of the following items will be received by appointment only beginning on 3/ 8/09. For the sake of keeping the church grounds neat, I request that there be no random dropping of goods in the church or by the container side without prior notification.

Guidelines for donations:

1. Please limit donations to those items that are in good, clean, and usable condition.
2. No secular books or other media materials.
3. No “prosperity gospel” teaching materials.
4. Only wooden, non- battery operated children’s toys and clean stuffed animals.
5. No comic books portraying Biblical characters.

Below is a basic list of items needed. If you have something to give that is not on the list, please call.

• Bibles and hymn books
• Acoustic musical instruments
• Women’s long dresses, skirts, modest blouses
• Sturdy shoes of all sizes, duffle bags
• Men’s trousers, shirts
• Children/baby clothing and supplies
• Household linens
• Bed frames and mattresses
• Tents and camping materials
• sewing machines and fabric
• Non- electric kitchen utensils
• Farming equipment: plows,
• Disc Harrows available and plows available at Tractor Supply in Pittsfield
• Electric chain saws, tractor, barbwire, roping, available at Tractor Supply in Pittsfield
• Tools of all sorts available at Tractor Supply in Pittsfield
• Welding machine, available at Tractor Supply in Pittsfield
• Generators, available at Tractor Supply in Pittsfield
• School materials: desks, pens and pencils, note books, crayons
• Office equipment
• Building materials,
• Medical equipment
• A pickup truck, preferably 4×4 , new or in good working condition
• Well casing (call for needed dimensions).
• Soccer Balls
• Rooter tillers – Available at tractor supply place in Pittsfield
• Bicycles
• Dry food such as rice, beans etc

Volunteers will be needed for loading heavier items and for arranging goods within the container. Let me know if you would like to help.
