Nehemiah Trumpet Call Gospel Radio

The Nehemiah Trumpet Call Gospel radio is back on the air with Christian programming from 9- 5 PM each day. We broadcast from Operation Nehemiah’s Mission house based in Beth Israel (Borongole) Magwi County in Eastern Equatoria State, South Sudan.

In 2003, Operation Nehemiah purchased a mobile clinic on which the radio was mounted and broadcasted to the community of Magwi County. It was mounted on a truck and mobile to avoid aerial bombardment from Khartoum Islamic war planes during the time of war between the north and the South Sudan. However, in February 2006, the mobile clinic was involved in fatal accident and the vehicle was severely damaged. We knew it was about time that God is tilling us to build stationary facility for Nehemiah Trumpet Call 97.3FM. In Sep 2006, the station was reestablished and we are back on the air.

The radio programmers share the word of God in the languages of Madi, Acholi, English, Juba Arabic and Swahili and encourage the people to live wholly for God as they have return to their country. Programs include teaching on marriage and family relationships, Biblical morality, and basic health care information. Individuals and families are also invited to give their testimonies on the air and share what God is doing in their lives with the community. This is the first Christian radio station ever established in Magwi county, Eastern Equatoria, the South Sudan! 1500 donated fix tuned solar radios were distributed free to those living within a 50 mile radius to hear the word of God and health information for their families.

There are over 150,000 people in the region being reached by this radio! Glory to God! The video projector is working. We have shown a number of transformation videos to our staff and surrounding community as part of our evangelistic outreaches.

Goals of Nehemiah Trumpet Call Radio (97.3FM) 2007- 2010

• Expand the signal reception of the station from 60 miles to 250 miles radius Establish as a health, relationship healing, and outreach and discipleship program among the people of Magwi County.
• Move Nehemiah Trumpet Call to Beth Israel. Set up 100 meters radio tower on Ako or Gordon Mountain for clarity of reception and efficiency.
• Distribute over 10,000 fix tune solar radios to the community in Magwi county
• Encourage the local community to support the radio station to stay on the air
• Broadcast life Sunday sermons from The Beth Israel Messianic Congregation
