Infrastructure

Infrastructure 01Infrastructure: This is one of the main problems we are facing in Beth Israel, Magwi County, and South Sudan. The problem of infrastructure ranges from conditions of poor roads, bridges, to lack of good utility and transportation vehicles.
Since we moved the organization from the Ugandan refugee camps to Magwi County, South Sudan, in 2004, our main focus has been addressing the issues of establishing reliable infrastructure to sustain our mission activities and also to serve the community.
We could not envision successful operations and achievement is our hope to bring support and services to the community of Pageri district in Magwi County without reliable infrastructure.

Infrastructure 02Progress: In 2003- 2006, the Lord has been gracious to us by touching the hearts of many of our brothers and sisters by providing us with:

  1. One mobile clinic, one pickup truck,
  2. One double cabin Toyota Tundra,
  3. One 45 hp tractor
  4. One 45 passenger boat deployed in the Nile river.
  5. In 2004, your support enables us built a bridge over river Eyibi separating Beth Israel (Corom) village from Kerepi village. Our goal in 2007- 2010 is to construct the 7 miles stretch of road connecting Kerepi Junction on Juba- Nimule road to Beth Israel in Corom through Borongole. This project will need a grader or a bull dozer to open it.

Medical department: We want to thank all of our donors and supporters for their prayers and financial contributions during the past three years for meeting some of the obligation we have been addressing in these areas.

In 2003, through your support, the Lord provided 4×4 mobile clinics, for our medical department which has served the community and our mission very well, until it was involved in fatal road accident in February 2006. To be good steward of the Lord’s property, we decided to repair the wrecked of the Mobil clinic resulting from the accident and turned it into a regular pickup truck. The retrofitted body of the pickup truck is wearing out and now a new body is needed for the truck. The accident of the mobile clinic has left our medical department without a vehicle -

The need:

Transportation
The mission has a vision to facilitate movement of those who are underprivileged through provision of cost effective means like the water transport boat. The ‘Jesus is Lord’ Boat now on the Nile needs to be relocated to an area of high demand where its potential can be reached. This will in turn allow for its operation to be self sustaining.

Road to Beth Israel
Rehabilitate and expand the 7 miles stretch of road network from Kerepi Junction to Beth Israel in Corom through Borongole.
