South Sudan is a country that has been leveled to the ground by 23 years of civil war. There is a severe lack of stable buildings to house community development, and very few means with which to achieve the accelerated construction that is needed.

Operation Nehemiah has a vision to provide the communities of Beth Israel (Borongole) and Nimule, South Sudan with Tile and brick making machines. These efficient machines will eliminate the need for tedious and time consuming hand production, while boosting local economy and ingenuity. The quality of machine made bricks and tiles far surpasses those laid by hand, which will enable communities to build structures that endure.
